Titanium TIG Welder

Location: Daventry

Salary: £33,000 – £37,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Titanium TIG Welder to join a high-performing engineering team in Daventry. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary, stable daytime hours, and the chance to work on specialist welding projects within a clean, well-equipped manufacturing environment.

About the Role:

As a Titanium TIG Welder, you’ll be responsible for welding precision components and assemblies to a high standard, following company SOPs and production schedules. You must have proven experience welding titanium in an inert atmosphere (such as a purge chamber or glovebox), with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to work.

Key Responsibilities:

• TIG welding of titanium parts and assemblies in purge chambers, gloveboxes, or similar setups
• Manufacture quality parts using jigs and fixtures, following technical drawings and SOPs
• Maintain equipment and ensure the work area remains clean and organised
• Inspect welded parts and assemblies to ensure accuracy and quality
• Support production of new products and modifications based on engineering documents
• Sign off 1st offs and last offs within the titanium welding area
• Assist in training titanium welding staff, including completion of training records and risk assessments
• Work to defined production schedules and meet output targets
• Support the Quality team with fixture evaluation and continuous improvement suggestions
• Prepare parts for welding, set up tools and equipment, and carry out cleaning tasks
• Report any equipment issues or fabrication challenges to the relevant team
• Perform other duties as required by the Shopfloor Supervisor or Operations Director

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Titanium TIG Welder, ideally in a purge chamber or glovebox
• Strong attention to detail – quality workmanship is essential
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
• Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
• A team player with a positive, “can do” attitude
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to be flexible, take on new tasks, and support changing workloads
• Availability to work additional hours if needed to meet project deadlines
