Welder - TIG

Location: Daventry

The COMPANY

Our client is an independent company specializing in supplying and designing powertrain components such as exhausts and other specialist automotive parts for OE Automotive customers. Renowned for their expertise, they serve many prestigious manufacturers. Their success has led to a growing order book and expansion into a new purpose-built production facility. The company has received the Queen's Award for Enterprise.

The ROLE

Due to ongoing expansion, an opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled TIG welder, preferably with experience in Titanium, to join our client's production team. Responsibilities include:

1. Welding Titanium to a high standard using TIG welding
2. Welding titanium in an inert atmosphere (purge chamber, glovebox, cabinet)
3. Fabricating parts from drawings
4. Preparing parts for welding (sawing, drilling, grinding, pipe bending, pipe threading, weld preparation)

The CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience in a similar environment
• Experience welding titanium (advantageous)
• Skilled TIG welder
• Mechanical engineering background
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings
• Team-oriented attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
