Job summary

Jobsworth Recruitment Solutions LTD seeks a Timber Sales Manager in the West Midlands to lead a seasoned internal sales team and drive ongoing growth in timber, hardwood and panel products. You will direct daily operations, coach staff, maintain service levels and profitability, and build strong customer relationships.

You will champion pricing, negotiation and commercial decisions while aligning with senior management on growth strategies and KPI targets to deliver sustained success.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a sales team in timber, builders' merchants or construction products.
• Proven track record of achieving sales, revenue and margin targets.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to develop and motivate a team.
• Excellent customer relationship management abilities and proactive growth focus.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing an established sales team
• Driving sales growth and profitability across the timber product range
• Managing and developing key customer relationships
• Identifying new business opportunities and potential areas for market growth
• Managing stock profiles in line with customer requirements and demand
• Monitoring sales activity, margins and overall commercial performance
• Producing regular reports and analysing sales and market trends
• Supporting pricing, negotiation and commercial decision-making
• Working closely with senior management to implement business growth strategies
• Ensuring the sales team consistently delivers against agreed targets and KPIs
