Job summary

HR GO Group is recruiting for a Production Operator - Sawmill in Lockerbie, Dumfries & Galloway. The role involves operating timber processing equipment safely, feeding lines, stacking, labeling, and performing quality checks.

The position offers £12.71 per hour with a performance bonus and potential overtime; shifts rotate between days and backshift; experience in manufacturing preferred and a safety-conscious approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to meet targets.
• Safety-first approach and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate production/timber processing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Feed lines, stack, band, label and prepare product for next stage.
• Complete quality checks and remove non-conforming product.
• Record basic production information (output, downtime, checksheets).
• Maintain housekeeping/5S and follow site H&S rules and PPE.
• Report hazards, near-misses and equipment issues promptly to the Team Leader/Supervisor.
