Job summary

The Timber Group Herringswell is seeking a Production Operative to help keep the mill running smoothly and safely. You’ll be involved in wrapping timber, loading machinery, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace while delivering reliable service to customers.

You’ll be working outdoors in all weather, reading paperwork, and keeping records accurate as part of a vigilant health and safety culture, with opportunities for on-the-job training and progression within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Safely unwrap and wrap timber packs
• Operate machinery at infeed and outfeed to keep things moving smoothly
• Run the baler and keep it in good shape
• Help keep the mill clean, tidy and safe
• Make sure stock is organised and clearly labelled
• Chat with the team to keep everything running smoothly
• Jump in with any other tasks that help get the job done
