Job summary

Gap Personnel Limited is seeking a Timber Production Operative in Swansea to join the production team. The role involves processing, handling and preparing timber products to meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm (Friday 7am-1pm), with a pay rate of £12.81 per hour. The job requires operating machinery, carrying out quality checks and maintaining a safe work environment.

• Previous experience in manufacturing/production or timber environment.
• Good health and safety practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Physically fit for manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Operate timber processing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Cut, grade, treat, assemble, and package timber products according to specifications.
• Load and unload timber and materials using manual handling techniques and mechanical equipment where authorised.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet company and customer standards.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete relevant documentation.
• Identify and report machinery faults, defects, or safety concerns.
• Carry out routine housekeeping duties and keep work areas clean and organised.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Support colleagues and supervisors in meeting production targets and deadlines.
• Assist with stock movement and inventory control as required.
