Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Contracts Manager in Reading to oversee timber frame projects and site elements. You will manage contracts, track progress, and liaise across departments and with subcontractors to keep projects on schedule.

Daily duties include tender setup, RAMS preparation, meetings, and maintaining master project trackers, ensuring accurate records, and site safety compliance. This role offers growth within a dedicated contracts team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in contracts management or a site manager looking to step up.
• Strong ability to manage contracts and track project progress.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder liaison skills.
• Ability to work independently within the contracts team.

Responsibilities

• Set up tenders following sales handover and project appointments.
• Attend meetings, take minutes and develop the master tracker for checkpoints.
• Draft, distribute and review project programmes.
• Track incident reports and customer care issues.
• Relay risk information to site and installation teams.
• Prepare RAMS and ensure site-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with QS to select and appoint subcontractors.
• Manage project documentation including notices and non-conformities.
• Provide site-based cost backgrounds for variations.
• Record working times and mileage for line management.
• Conduct site visits, attend prestart meetings and plan lifting operations.
• Supervise sites, inspections, and defect recording.
• Drive project handovers to timely completion.
• Report on health and safety and progress.
• Maintain project information on the N Drive system.
