Job summary

The role is for a Contracts Manager joining the client’s team in timber frame construction across Thames Valley and surrounding areas. You will oversee site elements, manage timber frame projects, and liaise across departments and subcontractors to maintain project efficiency and record-keeping.

Day-to-day includes contracts administration, site supervision, RAMS drafting, tender and programme management, and health and safety reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in contracts management or as a site manager stepping up.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder liaison abilities.
• Proficient with project tracking tools and documentation workflows.
• Ability to work independently within broad contracts department directives.

Responsibilities

• Set up tenders automatically following sales handover and project appointments.
• Attend meetings, take minutes, and develop the master project tracker.
• Draft, distribute, and review project programmes.
• Track and respond to incident reports and customer care issues.
• Attend design meetings to relay risk information to site teams.
• Draft and issue RAMS tailored to each site.
• Collaborate with QS to select and appoint subcontractors.
• Manage project documentation such as Delay Notices and Non-Conformity Reports.
• Raise variation items with cost backgrounds for QS.
• Formalise working times and mileage reports to the line manager.
• Conduct initial site visits and report findings.
• Attend prestart meetings and plan lifting operations if necessary.
• Supervise sites, record defects, and drive handovers.
