Job summary

PiLON, part of United Infrastructure Group, is hiring skilled tradespeople to perform planned maintenance, refurbishment and repairs in social housing. Responsibilities include isolating kitchen power, locking off circuits, removing and reinstalling sockets, and tiling around baths with attention to safety and quality.

The role requires asbestos awareness training and a CSCS card, plus valid UK work rights, own tools, and a clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• Asbestos awareness training or equivalent (in-house can be provided).
• CSCS Card required.

Responsibilities

• Isolate kitchen power (switch off consumer unit).
• Lock off kitchen circuit with padlock while working.
• Remove sockets, then reinstall after work is complete.
• Inform resident that kitchen sockets cannot be used for approx. 2 hours (risk of short circuit).
• Install tiles around the bath only.
• If bath is between 3 walls: tile all 3 walls along full bath length.
• If bath is in an L-shape (2 walls): tile only along the bath length.
• No full tiling at WC area.
• Tile behind sink only, up to 3 rows high.
