Job summary

Venatu Recruitment Group are recruiting Welders for an established manufacturing business in Gainsborough. Newly qualified welders and those with MIG/TIG experience are encouraged to apply to develop skills and potentially secure a permanent position.

Day shift £14.50 per hour; Afternoon/Night shift £16.35 per hour. Monday to Friday, no weekends. Full on‑the‑job training provided to help you grow as a Welder.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 welding qualification or recognised welding certification.
• MIG and/or TIG welding knowledge.
• Some practical welding experience – although not essential.
• Willingness to learn and build a career in welding.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and/or TIG welding to required spec.
• Weld and assemble components per drawings and specifications.
• Prepare materials for welding and set up equipment.
• Work from drawings and specifications using hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe working area and follow Health & Safety procedures.
• Collaborate with a busy production team.

You do NOT need years of welding experience. If you have recently completed a welding qualification and have the right attitude and willingness to learn, we want to hear from you.

Pay & Working Hours

Day Shift – £14.50 per hour

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
• Friday: 6:00am – 1:30pm

Afternoon/Night Shift – £16.35 per hour

• Monday to Wednesday: 2:30pm – 1:00am
• Thursday: 2:30pm – 12:00am

Monday to Friday – NO WEEKENDS

The Welder Role

Working as part of the manufacturing team, you will be involved in:

• MIG and/or TIG welding
• Welding and assembling components
• Preparing materials for welding
• Setting up and safely using welding equipment
• Working from drawings and specifications
• Using hand and power tools
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area
• Following Health & Safety procedures
• Working as part of a busy production team

Full support and on-the-job training will be provided to help you develop your practical welding skills.

What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Welding qualification or recognised welding certification
• MIG and/or TIG welding knowledge
• Some practical welding experience – although this is not essential
• A genuine interest in building a career in welding
• A willingness to learn
• A reliable and positive attitude
• Good attendance and timekeeping
