Job description

On behalf of our client, situated in the heart of Worcestershire, we provide engineering assistance and solutions across various sectors.

Due to increased demand, our client now seeks a TIG Welder for a 12-week temporary-to-permanent position.

Work Environment Includes:

Responsibilities:

• Perform TIG (141) welding on aluminium and/or stainless steel, armoured fabrications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings for accurate welds
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment safely
• Conduct visual testing of fusion welding joints per BS EN ISO 17673:2016
• Collaborate with the production team to meet project targets
• Undertake internal and external training to meet BS EN ISO 9606-1/2 certification standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment

Qualifications:

• Experience in defence, aerospace, motorsport, or similar industries is advantageous
• Knowledge of BS EN ISO 3834-2, BS EN standards, and DIN 2303 Q2 welding quality requirements
• Certified to ISO 9606-1/2 or equivalent (e.g., ASME IX, AWS D17.1)
• NVQ/City & Guilds or similar vocational qualification in welding & fabrication or relevant engineering field
• CSWIP 3.0 or PCN (VT) Level I certification

Experience:

• Proven TIG (141) welding experience with aluminium or stainless steel alloys
• Knowledge of BS EN ISO 9606-1/2 qualifications
• Experience in regulated or certified standards preferred
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work to high tolerances
• Good organizational skills

Package:

• Monday to Friday work schedule (subject to change)
• Core hours: 07:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 on Friday
• 39 hours per week, with potential for additional hours

• Overtime pay for weekday and weekend hours
