Job summary

Hyde Details (Fabrications and Welding) Ltd, based in Audenshaw, UK, is seeking a skilled TiG Welder to join our aerospace/defence fabrication team. You will fabricate and weld components from aluminium, stainless steel and titanium, performing precise fillet and butt welds and brazing as required.

You must read engineering drawings, work well in a team, and maintain high safety standards. Our modern facility offers a competitive salary, generous leave, and career progression.

Qualifications

• Proven TiG welding experience; aerospace/defence sector preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Legally authorised to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld Aerospace & Defence components from Aluminium, Stainless Steel and Titanium.
• Perform fillet and butt welds in thicknesses 0.5mm to 3mm (occasionally thicker).
• Manual torch brazing of aluminium and stainless steel.
• Work to tight tolerances and deadlines.

As a TiG Welder, your responsibilities will include:

• Fabrication and welding various Aerospace & Defence components from Aluminium, Stainless Steel and Titanium.
• Fillet and butt welds in thicknesses and combinations between 0.5mm to 3mm (occasionally thicker).
• Manual torch brazing of aluminium and stainless steel.
• Working to tight tolerances and deadlines.
• Welding to Aircraft standards and specifications.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area as required.
• Following all health and safety guidelines.

About You - Requirements

• Proven experience in TiG welding. Aerospace or defence sectors experience will be preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Ability to work as part of a team and using own initiative.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Legally authorised to work in the UK.
