Hyde Details (Fabrications and Welding) Ltd is an aerospace specialist seeking skilled TIG welders to join a modern facility. You will weld thin-gauge aluminium, producing high-quality fillet and butt welds in flight-critical assemblies.

Experience with aluminium TIG and reading engineering drawings is highly valued, with a strong emphasis on precision, safety, and continuous improvement in a clean, purpose-built environment.

With continued growth across key aerospace programmes, we are investing in our aluminium welding capability and are looking for skilled TIG welders who take pride in producing high-specification, high-integrity work.

The Opportunity

You’ll be working on thin-gauge, precision aluminium components, contributing directly to flight-critical and high-performance assemblies, in a clean, well-equipped, purpose-built facility.

Whether you are already highly experienced in aluminium TIG or looking to take your skills to the next level, we offer a structured and supportive environment to develop and refine your capability.

As TiG Welder

You will specialise in precision aluminium welding including:

• TIG welding of thin-gauge aluminium (typically 0.8mm – 3mm).
• Producing high-quality fillet and butt welds to aerospace standards.
• Manual torch brazing of aluminium and stainless steel (aluminium experience highly desirable).
• Working to tight tolerances and deadlines.
• Working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Maintaining strict adherence to aircraft quality standards.
• Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining an organised, safe working environment.

About You – Requirements

• Proven TIG welding experience (aluminium experience highly desirable).
• Experience with thin materials and cosmetic / high-integrity welds.
• Aerospace, defence, or high-spec fabrication background preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
