Job summary

Fintelligent Search Ltd, a well-established insurance business, is seeking an experienced Third Party Motor Claims Handler to manage a portfolio of third-party motor claims, specialising in liability and credit hire. You will own your caseload from start to settlement within a supportive team.

You will liaise with insurers, solicitors and claimants, investigate claims thoroughly and influence outcomes. A contributory pension, bonus potential, and CII study support are provided to aid career

Qualifications

• At least two years’ motor claims experience, ideally within third-party claims.
• Strong knowledge of liability assessment, negotiation and the motor claims lifecycle.
• Exposure to credit hire, disputed claims or more technical motor claims would be highly beneficial.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to deal professionally with a range of stakeholders.
• A methodical approach, strong attention to detail and the confidence to make sound decisions.
• Previous experience working within a regulated insurance environment.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of third-party motor claims from initial notification through to settlement.
• Handling associated property damage, liability and disputed claim matters.
• Investigating claims thoroughly and making clear, evidence-based liability decisions.
• Managing credit hire cases, including validation, negotiation and cost-control activity.
• Liaising professionally with insurers, solicitors, claimants and other external stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate claim records and ensuring activity is completed in line with regulatory and company procedures.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues while independently managing priorities and deadlines.

Are you an experienced Motor Claims Handler looking to take on more technical, varied work? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, regulated insurance business where you will manage your own portfolio of third-party motor claims, build deeper expertise in liability and credit hire, and develop your career within a supportive team.

You will have genuine ownership of your caseload, with exposure to more complex and higher-value claims. This is not simply a volume-driven role, your investigations, negotiations and decisions will directly influence claim outcomes.
