Job summary

Prismatic Ltd in Alton, UK, is seeking a Thermal Systems Integration Engineer to guide design, analysis, integration and verification of thermal control for flight platforms. You will lead thermal efforts across the vehicle to keep subsystems within temperature limits and support test readiness.

The role requires a degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, proven thermal design expertise, and strong communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering.
• Proven expertise in thermal systems design and analysis for flight environments.
• Experience leading thermal engineering efforts on complex aerospace projects.
• Strong knowledge of thermal simulation tools (Thermal Desktop, SINDA, FE/CFD) and validating models with test data.
• Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and detailed design of thermal control systems for flight platforms.
• Perform and oversee thermal analysis (steady-state, transient, orbital/altitude) using analytical and simulation tools.
• Define thermal requirements and translate them into subsystem specifications.
• Coordinate with structures, propulsion, power, avionics, and systems teams to integrate thermal considerations.
• Lead test plans, campaigns, and validate thermal models against empirical results.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the thermal engineering team.
