Parker Electromechanical in Poole is seeking a Thermal Design Engineer to develop heat‑exchanger designs from customer data, supporting quotations and technical handovers to manufacturing. You will collaborate with manufacturing, sales, service, and engineering teams to ensure robust solutions and on‑time delivery.

Ideal candidates have a thermal design foundation, 2+ years in process/manufacturing environments, and experience with FEED or EPC contexts are a plus.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree—or equivalent experience in an engineering‑related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in a process or manufacturing environment, ideally involving heat exchangers or plant configuration.
• A good foundation in thermal design and basic mechanical‑design knowledge.
• Experience or interest in FEED and EPC project environments is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• A detail‑oriented, organised approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A collaborative mindset, customer focus, and commitment to following effective processes and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web‑based tools.

Responsabilidades

• Analyse customer data and specifications to produce heat‑exchanger designs and quotations with minimum supervision.
• Create accurate project and job documentation to support a smooth handover to manufacturing.
• Work closely with manufacturing, sales, service, and engineering colleagues to provide technical support.
• Participate in technical discussions with internal teams and external customers.
• Perform simulations on existing designs to support service and product requirements.
• Apply Parker’s lean systems and tools to reduce waste, improve flow, and support on‑time delivery.
• Deliver customer‑focused, practical engineering solutions that meet quality, cost, and performance requirements.
