Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Commissioning specialist to join the UK Commissioning team, responsible for commissioning Vertiv Thermal products from final setup to customer specifications. You will work with electronic programmers and various software applications, and set up electrical and mechanical components, with extensive Vertiv product training provided.

A commitment to high commissioning standards and ownership is essential.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds 207 level 2 or higher or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience commissioning/servicing Thermal products.
• Broad knowledge of electronic controllers.
• Excellent knowledge of Data Center Thermal applications.
• Excellent knowledge of refrigeration principles and controls.
• Team player is an absolute must.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Willing to work and lodge away from home for extended periods.
• Willing to travel nationwide.
• Willing to work overseas occasionally.
• Able to work long hours as and when commissioning program requires.
• Willing to work weekends when commissioning program requires.
• Comfortable under pressure working to tight deadlines.
• Ability to take ownership of given tasks and complete to programme.
• Must be a genuine team player.
• Complete commitment to H&S and Vertiv policies, and those applicable on site especially on construction sites.
• Embrace the need for speedy and accurate reporting and communications.
• Exercise co-operation and diplomacy when working with other contractors and the customer, under time pressures.
