Job summary

NHFT, an NHS Community and Mental Health Foundation Trust, is seeking a Therapy Team Leader to provide professional leadership and clinical expertise on the ward. You will lead an integrated therapy team, oversee training and development, and drive service improvements while supporting safe and timely patient discharges.

The role requires strong collaboration with nursing, medical and wider allied health colleagues to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care and positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with current UK registration.
• Experience of working as a band 6 in rehabilitation.
• Evidenced clinical skills and specialty.

Responsibilities

• Manage the therapy team on a day-to-day basis and support junior colleagues.
• Report to Allied Health Professional Lead and ultimately to senior management.
• Lead in facilitating safe and timely discharges and manage complex situations.
