Job summary

Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join the North East Essex Community Hospitals Therapy Rehabilitation Team. You will assess, treat and progress referrals for a range of patients, working with Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy in our Community Hospitals at Harwich and Clacton.

The role is 37.5 hours weekly, with a 1-in-5 weekend rota as part of a 7-day service, predominantly based at Clacton Hospital.

Qualifications

• Experience in rehabilitation, ideally within an NHS setting.
• Good communication and organisation skills.
• Willing to work weekends as part of a 7 day service.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and complete referrals for a wide variety of patients.
• Work with Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams in Community Hospitals (Harwich and Clacton).
• Manage own workload and participate in team/service development.

Education

Foundation degree / Level 5 Healthcare / Sport and Exercise Science or similar
