East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapy Assistant to join our forward-thinking Therapies teams across the Colchester Hospital Site and community hospitals. You will rotate through specialties including Respiratory Medicine, Surgical wards, and Stroke units, while supporting qualified therapists and managing your own referrals.

The ideal candidate will have a Foundation degree/Level 5 Healthcare qualification or equivalent, excellent communication, and be able to

Qualifications

• Experience in rehabilitation, ideally NHS setting.
• Ability to work with Therapies teams and manage referrals.
• Willingness to work weekends as part of a 7-day service.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and complete referrals for a wide variety of patients.
• Work with Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams across Colchester Hospital Site and community hospitals.
• Manage own workload and participate in team/service development.
• Support training within a competency framework.
