Job summary

Compass Community Schools is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support learning across our classrooms and provide focused help to students with SEMH and SEND needs. You will work 1:1 or in small groups, manage resources, and participate in therapeutic training to support pupils’ development.

Strong communication, flexibility, and a calm, non-judgemental approach are essential as you assist children with varied needs and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning
• Work with children 1:1 or in small groups
• Manage classroom resources
• Take children on educational trips and visits
• Have lunch with children who struggle socially
• Keep children safe with strong behaviour management and communication
• Create, play and teach games to develop social skills
• Create displays to support teaching and the learning environment
