Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a devoted children's support worker to join our caring family home, supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma. You will offer encouragement, praise, and a patient, understanding approach during times of crisis to help them grow and feel safe.

The role requires flexible shifts including sleep-ins, a DBS check, induction, funded training, and access to wellbeing services and pension benefits.

Qualifications

  • Passionate about supporting children to lead happy lives.
  • Great communication skills, positive, playful and energetic.
  • Experience with children in care or transferable skills is beneficial.
  • Ability to remain calm during challenging situations.
  • Full UK Driving licence is beneficial.
  • Flexible to work shifts and sleep-ins.
  • Safeguarding commitment with enhanced DBS check.
  • Competitive salary at the Real Living Wage level.

  • Act as a professional parent, offering encouragement and praise.

  • Help children find pleasure in everyday tasks.
  • Empower them to make decisions about themselves.
  • Ensure a safe home environment including cleaning, laundry and cooking.

Job description

We are looking for a children's support worker to become part of our loving, fun and busy family home, supporting children and young people who have expereinced trauma You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop. We want to create a safe haven where every child's potential shines bright, you'll be the beacon of hope, providing unwavering support to our young champions. What do you need?

  • Passionate about supporting children to lead happy lives.
  • Great communication skills, positive, playful and energetic. Experience in working with children in care or transferable skills such as children's nursery, adult supported living, challenging behaviours, education, sports or working with vulnerable people is beneficial.
  • Ability to remain calm during sometimes challenging situations.
  • Full UK Driving licence is beneficial
  • You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
