Job summary

Empower Young Lives is seeking Children's Practitioners to support young people aged 12 to 17 in a residential setting in Renfrewshire. You will build supportive relationships, assess needs, and contribute to care plans while ensuring safety and wellbeing.

The role offers a structured salary progression (£14–£19.50 per hour), a 37.5-hour week on a 3-week rotation, SSC qualifications support, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to high-quality care.

Qualifications

• HNC in Social Services or equivalent.
• SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) obtained or in progress.
• SSSC registration within six months as Residential Care Worker.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with young people to support personal development and wellbeing.
• Contribute to evaluations of strengths, care needs, goals, and safety risks.
• Assist in tailored care plans and daily health needs, including medication administration.
• Draft clear reports and maintain accurate records for multi-agency communication.
