Job summary

Enable is hiring Childcare Practitioners in Stevenson, North Ayrshire to support children and young people during short breaks at Roslin House. Shifts are 7.30am to 9.30pm, with 16- and 24-hour contracts. You’ll help with activities, communication, personal care and community access, contributing to positive outcomes and confidence.

No care experience is required; values-led applicants are encouraged. SVQ funding and SSSC registration support are available.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; values and transferrable skills matter.
• Willingness to complete SVQ Health and Social Care qualifications (funded).
• Must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people to enjoy meaningful activities and build relationships.
• Assist with personal care, communication, sensory activities or community access.
• Help create safe, fun and memorable short breaks for each young person.
