Job summary

CrossReach is seeking a dedicated residential childcare worker to support children and young people in Port Glasgow. You will deliver high-quality care within a structured, supportive environment, promoting safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes for those in our care.

You will hold or work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People); SSSC registration and PVG checks are required to join our team. We value empathy, resilience and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• You will hold, or be working towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People).
• SSSC registration and PVG Scheme membership are required for this role.
• You are emotionally resilient, able to work under pressure, and able to build positive professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care in line with policies, standards and best practice.
• Support children and young people with routines, education and personal development.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Contribute to assessments, care planning and outcome-focused reviews.
• Safeguard and advocate for children and young people at all times.
