Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Therapeutic Rehabilitation Assistant at our Hunters Moor Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in Birmingham. You will support the therapy team by delivering prescribed rehabilitation interventions and assisting with ward-based care and personal care, under supervision of qualified staff.

The role involves delivering sessions, reporting patient progress, and maintaining documentation within Active Neuro standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a healthcare, rehabilitation or therapy environment.
• Understanding of disability, neurological conditions and rehabilitation principles.
• Ability to work flexibly across a 7-day rota and commence shifts at ward start times.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.
• Willingness to undertake specialist and advanced training as part of induction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group rehabilitation programmes as prescribed and delegated by therapists.
• Undertake treatment sessions or components of treatment under guidance, following care plans and risk assessments.
• Support patients with mobility, positioning, transfers, self-care and functional activities.
• Assist with personal care and ward-based rehabilitative activities in collaboration with Healthcare Assistants and nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with policies.
