Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Therapy Assistant for our Murdostoun Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre in North Lanarkshire. Mon–Fri, 37.5 hours, based on site, with flexible arrangements discussed.

You will assist in delivering therapy programmes and supporting patients with communication and complex needs. You will work under Qualified Therapists, help with assessments, promote engagement, and maintain records while complying with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Understand Mental Capacity Act and relevant legal frameworks.
• Strong literacy and ability to use assistive communication software.
• Ability to motivate patients over short and long periods.
• Empathy, patience and ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of therapy programmes under the guidance of therapists.
• Facilitate group work, activities and ongoing assessment with supervision.
• Contribute to therapy assessments and treatment plans under supervision.
• Provide equipment and activities for individuals with complex needs.
• Promote participation of patients and families in interventions.
• Maintain electronic patient records and training compliance.
