Job summary
Fantastic opportunities exist for Therapeutic Radiographers to join the Radiotherapy Department at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre.
Our department is located in Bristol, a vibrant city with many entertainment and leisure options, offering a lively lifestyle.
You will have the opportunity to rotate through a large department, gaining experience on 5 Elekta Versa HD linear accelerators. Our pre-treatment area features 2 dedicated CT scanners with virtual simulation, ultrasound, and MRI facilities.
We provide highly specialised treatments such as Clarity Ultrasound, Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiotherapy, Paediatric Radiotherapy, and SABR for multiple sites. Our HDR brachytherapy service treats gynaecological, prostate, oesophageal, and skin lesions. Additionally, we have a molecular radiotherapy department with increasing activity as new treatments become available.
We welcome applications from both qualified and newly qualified radiographers. Students qualifying in summer 2025 are encouraged to apply.
If you are newly qualified, we offer a preceptorship programme to support your transition from student to qualified staff member. All staff are involved in service development, and we actively encourage continuous professional development, including postgraduate learning opportunities to enhance patient-centered care.
As a Band 5 radiographer, you will ensure the accurate delivery of radiotherapy treatments with appropriate patient care. You will work collaboratively with Band 6 and Band 7 radiographers.
