Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley is seeking a Wellbeing Worker to join our care team. This full-time role (37.5 hours) includes evenings and weekends with flexibility across 7 days, contributing to therapeutic play activities for babies, children and young people.

You will assess needs, develop activity programmes, and work within a multi-disciplinary team, bringing knowledge of wellbeing and play to tailor sessions for families and young people with complex care needs.

Formación

• Qualified in wellbeing and play or equivalent discipline.
• Experience with babies, children and young people with complex care needs in educational/play settings.
• Ability to assess developmental, physical and emotional needs and plan activities.

Responsabilidades

• Provide wellbeing services through therapeutic play activities and groups.
• Assess service users and develop/implement activity programmes as part of care.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver tailored sessions.
• Respect individual dignity and tailor wellbeing services to family needs.
