Job summary

Score Staffing Solutions Limited is recruiting a Registered Children’s Home Manager for a 4-bed EBD home in Redditch, rated Good in all areas. You will lead a skilled team, drive high-quality care, and work with senior management to sustain Ofsted excellence.

The role offers a strong salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including professional development and on-call duties. The successful candidate will have a Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare, and a valid UK driving licence,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years' experience leading a team within a children's home.
• Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
• Understanding of the SCCIF, Children’s Home Act (2015), and Quality Standards; ability to register as a manager with Ofsted.

Responsibilities

• Run a children's home to Good or Outstanding standards in line with Ofsted guidance.
• Lead and supervise staff, conduct supervisions and appraisals, ensure training compliance.
• Prepare and review Ofsted paperwork (care plans, behaviour support, risk assessments, Reg reports) and attend meetings (LAC, EHCP, PEP).
• Communicate effectively with young people, families and professionals.
• Manage administrative tasks (health and safety checks, medications audits, rotas, finances) and assist in recruitment.
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities to provide expert advice during crises.
