Job summary

Spire Carehome for Children in Gravesend is seeking a compassionate Registered Children's Home Manager to oversee daily operation of our children's residential home, ensuring a safe, nurturing and child-centred environment.

You will lead a team, develop individual care plans, manage safeguarding and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with families and external professionals to support young people with complex needs.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in an Ofsted-regulated children’s care setting.
• Experience leading a staff team and promoting collaborative practice.
• Experience developing and reviewing individual care plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication for professional reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
• Supervise and support staff, promoting child-centred practice.
• Oversee medication administration processes and procedures.
• Develop and review individual care plans reflecting each child’s needs and progress.
• Prepare weekly reports for placing authorities and liaise with external professionals.
