Job summary

Sgs-Care-Ltd is seeking a Deputy Manager for a 3-bed children's residential home in Radstock. The role involves supporting the Registered Manager, leading and mentoring staff, and ensuring safeguarding and therapeutic practice.

You will implement Care Plans and Risk Assessments, while promoting trauma-informed care and staff development. With 42 hours per week and a mix of on-shift and admin duties, the post offers a progressive path within a specialist therapeutic provider.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is essential.
• Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification or willingness to work towards (supported by client).

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Registered Manager with the daily running of the home.
• Leading and mentoring the staff team.
• Completing supervisions, inductions and performance support.
• Promoting therapeutic and trauma-informed practice throughout the home.
• Supporting the development of Care Plans, Risk Assessments and Behaviour Support Plans.
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, compliance and record keeping.
• Building positive relationships with children, families and professionals.
• Promoting staff wellbeing and reflective practice.
• Leading by example and creating a positive team culture.
