Job summary

Compass Community Schools are seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a secondary pupil at CCS Pembroke Park. You will work closely with the class team to help regulate emotions, engage with learning and build confidence.

We are a trauma- and attachment-informed organisation offering extensive therapeutic training and support. The role is fixed-term for 12 months with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Dedicated 1:1 support for a secondary pupil with SEMH.
• Trauma- and attachment-informed approach is preferred.
• Willingness to engage with therapeutic training and reflect on practice.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in the classroom and deliver 1:1 or small-group sessions.
• Assist with managing classroom resources and participating in trips.
• Support pupils in regulating emotions and building confidence.
• Participate in therapy sessions and contribute to safeguarding.
