Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking a Visitor Services Manager to join the management team at Yr Aelwyd, Port Talbot's refurbished theatre, cultural and conferencing venue. You will lead a diverse team and oversee day-to-day operations, bookings, and customer care to deliver a welcoming and safe visitor experience.

You will manage staffing, health and safety compliance, and financial procedures while coordinating events with partners, with occasional evening and weekend work required to match

Qualifications

  • Experience in theatre, arts, leisure, cultural or visitor attraction environments.
  • Experience in managing teams and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, risk assessments and financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a diverse venue team including Duty Managers, Box Office, Bar staff and casual employees.
  • Oversee staffing, rotas, recruitment and people management processes.
  • Coordinate events, manage venue bookings and financial procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing, safeguarding and accessibility.
