This vacancy is suitable for Registered Nurses/Operating Department Practitioners. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic candidate with the ability to work well within a challenging environment, and who can deliver high quality patient care. Willingness to work as part of an on-call, 24/7 rota will be required for this post. A structured induction programme will be provided for all new members of staff, plus access to on-going continuing professional education and development. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply., The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. • Current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) OR Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
• Registered General Nurse OR Registered Operating Departmental Practitioner
• Commitment to undertake an appropriate course of study
• To have a knowledge and understanding of all surgical specialities within the operating department
• Evidence of continuing professional development, Diploma in theatre perioperative practice, Post registration experience
• Relevant experience in all specialities General / orthopaedic / gynae / urology / Trauma
• Experience in the supervision / teaching of students, support staff and others
