Job summary

Trafalgar Entertainment's Palace & Dixon teams are seeking a Technician to manage Dixon Studio operations for performances and education activities in Southend-on-Sea. You will design and rig technical equipment, liaise with hirers, and lead casual staff, ensuring safety and smooth show execution.

Candidates should have a strong track record in theatrical tech, good communication with contractors, and experience in equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in technical support of theatre productions.
• Adherence to Health and Safety at Work regulations.
• Co-operation and initiative as a technical team member.
• Strong written and verbal communication with contractors and colleagues.
• Experience with maintaining and repairing theatre equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of Dixon Studio for performances and education program support.
• Design, rig and operate technical equipment for hirers.
• Act as central contact for Dixon Studio shows, manage casual staff and rider docs.
• Under Technical Manager, perform basic maintenance across Palace Theatre.
• Arrange pre-show meetings and communicate show requirements to the team.
