Job summary

Theatre Technician at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust works within the peri-operative team to support Registered Practitioners and deliver safe patient care. The role involves preparing environments, using advanced clinical skills as competency allows, and participating in extended hours to cover operating theatre services.

Qualifications

• Supports Registered Practitioners to deliver safe and effective care.
• Assists with patient transfers and positioning.
• Maintains theatre environments and equipment in safe working order.

Responsibilities

• Set up and assist with specialist equipment.
• Perform swab, sharps and instrument counts with a Registered practitioner.
• Assemble and dismantle theatre equipment and troubleshoot faults.
