Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive Theatre Support team member to act as the first point of contact for patients entering theatres and to help deliver a high-quality perioperative service.

The role requires physical fitness for tasks such as transferring patients, transporting specimens, and assisting with theatre cleanliness, with the ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with staff at all levels.

Qualifications

• You must be physically fit and able to carry heavy loads.
• You need to be confident, approachable, and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• You must be able to communicate with staff at all levels; external and internal.

Responsibilities

• Act as a caring and compassionate first point of contact for patients coming into theatres.
• Supporting as part of a team the provision of a high quality service to patients during their perioperative pathway.
• You must be physically fit and able to carry heavy loads e.g. transferring patients from ward to theatres, transportation of specimens and collections of blood and other theatre errands specified in job description and maintaining theatres cleanliness.
