Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Oxford is recruiting a Band 2 Theatre Support Worker for the Women Centre Theatres. The role involves assisting in 24-hour emergency cover with shift work including nights and weekends.

You will support qualified staff, help maintain patient dignity and records, and contribute to delivering compassionate, high-quality care within a busy theatre environment.

Qualificações

• Evidence of the Care Certificate and understanding of the Code of Conduct for Health Care Support Workers and Adult Social care workers in England.
• Evidence of Level 2 Diploma or Apprenticeship in Health related subject or willing to work towards.
• Experience in clinical ward setting is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• To acquire, maintain and improve knowledge and skills required to perform all agreed aspects of patient care competently.
• In collaboration with a registered practitioner, assess the patient’s needs and understand the required assessment.
• Under the supervision of a registered practitioner, give direct care to patients while maintaining dignity and individuality.
• Assist patients to meet dietary needs, including attention to special diets and cultural requirements.
• Assist patients to mobilise safely using prescribed aids as per care plan.
• Provide feedback to a registered practitioner about the care given and any changes in the patient’s condition.
• Demonstrate time management and prioritisation of workload with support from a registered practitioner.
• Use the EPR system once training is provided.
