Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is recruiting a Senior Theatre Support Worker to join the peri-operative team. You will work a full rotation of 24/7 shifts, assist theatre practitioners, and help with patient care in theatres and recovery areas.

Training is provided to progress through Band 2 to Band 3 with an education programme. Role requires careful adherence to SOPs and policies, effective communication, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support theatres and recovery areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for surgeries.
• Circulate in theatres during procedures and assist with patient care.
• Input data into electronic care plans and record implant details.
• Carry out clinical observations and assist with swab counts and traceability.
