Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Theatre Care Assistant (Band 2) for Poole Hospital’s General Surgery theatres. The role is full time with 37.5 hours per week and requires flexibility to cover a 24-hour service as part of the theatres team.

You will receive training and development opportunities, including level 3 apprenticeships in Perioperative Care and Operative Department Practitioner Apprenticeships, with support for learning and career progression.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake additional training and education in relation to theatre skills.
• Qualification in Maths and English.
• Experience of working with the public.
• Experience of working in a theatre environment.
• Experience of working in a caring environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the theatre team and daily running of the theatre environment.
• Provide assistance within General Surgery theatres as required.
• Be flexible to work across UHD locations to meet service demands.
