Job summary

The Blackheath Hospital in London, part of Circle Health Group, is hiring a Theatre Practitioner - Scrub to join its theatres team on a full-time 37.5-hour schedule with a permanent contract. Salary is up to £46,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) with theatre scrub experience.
• Able to work flexible shifts and cover 37.5 hours per week.
• Good infection prevention knowledge and patient safety principles.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterility, and ensuring equipment safety.
• Support the anaesthetist with equipment prep, monitoring, and positioning.
• Provide post-operative care, monitor vitals, manage pain and nausea, and prepare patient for discharge.
