Theatre Practitioner (Scrub) SFA (Maternity Cover)

Location: Wessex Hospital | Role: Scrub | Type: Fixed-term | Hours: Full time | Includes weekend work

Salary: Up to £39,500.00 per annum, depending on experience plus SFA allowance (if qualified)
37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job

Work in a multidisciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload. Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and facilities. Supervise, support, and develop junior team members. Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary setting. Create effective, evidence-based patient experiences. Opportunities for growth and Surgical First Assist training.

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital, a 46-bed private hospital in West Hampshire, specializes in Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Women's Health, and Spinal Surgery. The hospital features onsite Radiology, Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and Hydrotherapy, with 16 outpatient rooms, 46 private bedrooms, 24-hour resident doctor, four operating theatres, and an endoscopy suite.

Job responsibilities

As a Scrub Practitioner/ Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will:

• Work in a multidisciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload.
• Utilize advanced technology, equipment, and facilities.
• Supervise, support, and develop junior team members.
• Deliver high-quality perioperative care.
• Ensure patient care is effective and evidence-based.
• Engage in continuous growth and training, including Surgical First Assist training.
