Job summary

Circle Cheshire Clinic in Northwich is seeking a Theatre Practitioner (Bank) to join the Theatre team on a flexible, “as and when required” basis. You will supplement staffing levels during busy periods and cover for annual leave or absence.

Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) with theatre experience is essential. You will set up theatres, assist surgeons, maintain sterility, monitor patients, manage pain and nausea, and help discharge planning while upholding

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
• Experience in a theatre environment (scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery).
• Understanding of infection control, manual handling and patient safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and maintain sterility.
• Assist the surgical team and anaesthetist with equipment and patient monitoring.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient requirements.
• Provide post-operative care, monitor vitals, and support discharge planning.
