Circle Health Group is seeking a Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Chaucer Hospital, Canterbury. This is a bank role offering up to £25.00 per hour, depending on experience. Bank Shifts

Salary: Up to £25.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification).

Overview

We have an opportunity for a Theatre Practitioner to join our team in the Theatre department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis. You will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role

• Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterility, anticipating surgeon needs, and ensuring equipment safety; support the anaesthetist in equipment preparation, patient monitoring, airway management, and positioning; provide post‑operative care, monitor vital signs, manage pain and nausea and ensure patient readiness for discharge.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and procedures at all times.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and specific patient requirements.
• Check all surgical and anaesthetic equipment prior to use and report faults immediately.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve safe and efficient surgical lists.
• Support and contribute to a positive, respectful, and efficient theatre environment.
