Job summary

NHS Orkney is seeking Registered Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners to join our Theatre team on a bank basis. The role supports anaesthetic, scrub, circulating and recovery duties for patients, based at The Balfour.

You will work as part of a multi-professional team delivering high standards of care in the Day Unit and Theatre, with on-call requirements for out-of-hours shifts, and you must be resident in the UK.

Qualifications

• Post-registration nursing experience in a Theatre setting (anaesthetics, recovery, scrub or circulating) is required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Availability for on-call and part-time shifts in a Bank role is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support anaesthetic, scrub, circulating and recovery duties for patients.
• Participate in Day Unit and Theatre care, ensuring service continuity and on-call coverage.
