Job summary

Circle Health Group's Kings Park Hospital in Stirling is seeking a Theatre Practitioner (Bank) to join the theatre team on an as-and-when-required basis. The role supports surgical teams, prepares instruments, and helps ensure sterility and patient safety across procedures.

The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse (NMC) or HCPC-registered ODP with theatre experience and strong infection control awareness. This bank role covers shifts as needed, with competitive hourly rates and a collaborative

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) with theatre experience.
• Understanding of infection control, patient safety and manual handling.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments, maintain sterility and anticipate surgeon needs.
• Support anaesthetist with equipment prep, monitoring and positioning.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor vital signs and pain management.
• Maintain infection prevention policies and check equipment before use.
• Collaborate within the theatre team to run safe, efficient lists.
