Job summary

Circle Health Group in Northampton is seeking a Theatre Practitioner to join their team on a bank basis. You will assist the surgical team, prepare instruments, maintain sterility and support the Anaesthetist in equipment preparation and patient monitoring.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) registration.
• Experience or training in a theatre environment.
• Understanding of infection control and patient safety principles.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and safe surgical practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and maintain sterility; assist surgeon and anaesthetist.
• Set up operating theatres and check equipment.
• Monitor patient and manage pain and nausea post-operatively.
• Work with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe surgical lists.
• Support a positive theatre environment.
