Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Kings Oak Hospital in Enfield is seeking an Instrument Coordinator (Bank) to join the theatres team. The role is an on-call, “as and when required” position covering instrument preparation, stock, and endoscope management to ensure theatre readiness.

You will work with decontamination teams, assist with stock control and purchasing, and maintain traceability in line with regulations. Prior theatre or sterile services experience is preferred and NVQ Level 2/3 in Health or

Qualifications

• Experience in a theatre environment or clinical support role.
• Good organisational skills to prioritise workload in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic understanding of infection control and decontamination processes.
• Knowledge of theatre equipment, tracking systems or inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and availability of surgical instrumentation, liaising with internal decontamination services and external hospitals.
• Ensure instruments are clean, functional and delivered to correct locations to meet theatre schedules.
• Coordinate tracking and management of theatre endoscopes, ensuring safe handling and traceability.
• Assist in ordering, rotation and replenishment of theatre consumables per policies.
• Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking and support cost-effective resource use.
• Participate in audits and stock reviews ensuring traceability and expiry management.
