Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Theatre Manager to provide governance, risk, quality, equipment and education leadership across our perioperative theatres. You will lead on patient safety, audits and service development to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

The role requires substantial theatre leadership experience and a strong emphasis on education, clinical governance and equipment management within a busy theatre environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
• Significant theatre leadership and management experience.
• Strong knowledge of governance, risk management and patient safety.
• Passion for education, quality improvement and service excellence.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance, risk and patient safety programmes.
• Drive quality improvement, audits and service development.
• Lead staff education, training and competency programmes.
• Oversee medical equipment procurement, maintenance and replacement.
• Support incident investigations and embed learning into practice.
• Act as a visible clinical leader within the theatre team.
